Speakers
Dr Lucy Waldron has been working globally in animal nutrition since 1996, and has lived and worked in New Zealand since 2005. Lucy has worked as a nutritionist in more than 45 countries across the world. She had held senior technical posts in several feed ingredient companies, large and small.
Lucy is actively involved in animal nutrition research, running an equine research unit as well as organising protocols and trials with agricultural species as well as horses, cats and dogs. She has been involved in many aspects of nutrition research including influence on immunity, fertility, antioxidation, metabolism and gastric disease. Her work also includes supervision of post-graduate students, mainly at Massey University (where she is a Research Fellow), and she organises and assists with research for commercial clients across the world.
Her New Zealand based consultancy business, LWT Animal Nutrition Ltd, is involved in all aspects of technical services, including data processing, writing services (articles, peer reviewed papers), marketing, presenting papers, running training seminars for professionals and companies and technical advice. She is editor in chief of the World's Poultry Science Journal and the new Journal of Applied Animal Nutrition. She has written and edited many scientific books and published numerous papers and articles relating to nutrition.
