Alumasc Exterior Building Products Ltd (Alumasc) has seen positive ranking results for one of its websites following Google's roll-out of Penguin 2.0, due to the company's ongoing work with digital agency Click Consult.

Introduced on the 23rd May, Penguin 2.0 is Google's latest algorithmic update which attempts to reduce the number of websites that employ 'black-hat' SEO tactics from ranking high in search engine results pages (SERPs). Since it came into force, Alumasc's rainwater systems site, http://www.alumascrainwater.co.uk, has seen an increase in ranking for 40 per cent of its selected key terms.
Prior to the update, the website had 21 of its selected key terms ranked on page one. Since the update, however, this has increased to 24 selected key terms on page one, whilst the website has also seen a 1.38 per cent increase in non-branded traffic for the month following Penguin 2.0's introduction, compared to the previous month.
A spokesman for Click Consult said: "Since we started working with Alumasc in August 2013, we have helped to increase rankings for http://www.alumascrainwater.co.uk by 76 per cent, whilst we saw organic search traffic increase by 41 per cent for the first six months of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012.
