Alastair Peoples, Former CEO of the DVSA, Joins miDrive as Non-Executive Director

miDrive, a popular UK learning to drive app, today announces that Alastair Peoples has joined its board as a Non-Executive Director. Peoples was previously Chief Executive of both the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA), before the two agencies merged to form the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) in April 2014.

Peoples had a long and distinguished career in the Civil Service - initially joining the VOSA as Operations Director in 2004, after moving to the UK from Northern Ireland, where he spent time as a vehicle and driving examiner. He also held the position of Operations Director at what is now the Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) within the Department of Environment, Northern Ireland.
