Aethra Telecommunications announces today that the HNT1 Distribution Point Unit has successfully completed the Broadband Forum BBF.247 testing and achieved official certification. Aethra Telecommunications HNT1 is the first Fiber to the Distribution Point DPU to achieve BBF.247 Certification, and offers a fully Reverse Powered and completely GPON interoperable solution for the newly defined FTTdp architecture.
The innovative Fiber to the Distribution Point architecture has recently been defined by the Broadband Forum TR-301 and, with VDSL2 now and G.Fast tomorrow, will enable service providers to scale successfully their present and future ultra-broadband deployment plans.
