EAST SUSSEX, England and TOKYO, Dec. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Aderans Co., Ltd., a Japanese provider of total hair-related solutions, gave a lecture about its strategic CSR on August 23, 2016, for MBA students at the University of Leicester in the U.K. based on a formal invitation of the university. Aderans was the first Japanese company that gave a special lecture at the university.
With the theme "Strategic CSR integrated with business based on the idea of Sanpo-Yoshi (*)," Mutsuo Minowa, Aderans' executive officer for CSR communications, lectured about strategic CSR activities in the Aderans Group.
Starting with reviewing the history of Sanpo-Yoshi, an idea embraced by old Japanese Omi Shonin merchants, Minowa talked about the company's ongoing CSR activities integrated with business based on the theme of "delivering smile," featuring activities such as "in-hospital hair salons for cancer patients" run by Aderans, a "Fontaine green forest campaign for a customer-oriented wig eco-cycle," "love charity to give wigs as gifts for children who lost hair," and "art wigs for theatrical and cinematic arts."

About Sanpo-Yoshi (*)
What is "SANPO-YOSHI"?
"SANPO-YOSHI" is the old Japanese management philosophy. During the Edo period more than 300 years ago, "Omi Shonin," who were merchants in the middle area of Japan, were successful in business and active in every area of Japan. Their business success came from their spirit "SANPO-YOSHI." It literally means "Good for three directions," such as good for the seller, good for the buyer and good for the community. Aderans transferred this philosophy to its strategic CSR concept.
