The management of Amrut Distilleries organized a two-day exploration for Vir with a Tasting Session held at JW Marriott by their own Ashok Chokkalingam, who is the only Indian to have won the highly prestigious 'Whisky Ambassador' award in 2012.
Connoisseurs of whisky were greeted by 3 tasting glasses, each containing Amrut Fusion (rated 3rd best whisky in the world by acclaimed whisky commentator Jim Murray in 2010), Amrut Indian Single Malt - Classic and Amrut Peated Indian Single Malt. Ashok took the audience through the steps of nosing and tasting often engaging the audience asking for what they tasted or smelt.
