Abt Associates Taps Jill Russell to Lead Abt U.K. Presence
LONDON, May 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Abt Associates has appointed Jill Russell, a leader in managing complex international development programs for numerous donors across the globe, as the Director of Abt Associates' U.K. office. In this role, Russell will serve clients Abt's growing list of clients in the region, including the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
Previously, Russell served as the associate director at the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, where she led a multi-disciplinary team in research, monitoring and evaluation in areas such as HIV, health and human rights. She also served as the head of new business development at the organization, where she led the Alliance's business development strategy. In addition, she brings 20 years of experience working with donors including DFID, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
"Jill's experience working across a wide array of international development programs and her business development skills will allow us to more effectively partner with our clients in the United Kingdom and Europe to meet their needs," said Jay L. She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Kansas, a Masters in Health Service Administration from the George Washington University and a Masters in Science in International Executive Management from the U.K.'s Lancaster University Management School.
