A-Van-Go's from Commercial to Community as Couriers Deliver a Helping Hand to Local Schools
MANCHESTER, England, August 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
In a typical week Avango Couriers in Greater Manchester will handle a variety of commercial deliveries for their customers, ranging from anything such as a single box right through to pallet distribution and much more.
When it comes to who they usually deliver for though, it's almost always for other businesses. That is apart from once each when year they get the call from St. Catherine's school in Horwich to help transport the school's display for the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park.
Lee Johnson, spokesperson for Avango, said "It's just something a little different for us to get involved in really and makes a nice change from the time-sensitive deliveries we deal with on a daily basis."
Whilst Avango were originally only required to deliver the St. Catherine's display pieces to the 2015 Tatton Park Show and then return everything once the event was over, when it came time to make the return run they were also called in to assist Ladywood School from Little Lever near Bolton.
Lee goes on to say "All our same-day delivery services are dedicated, meaning the customer gets the entire vehicle for their own goods from collection to delivery, but in situations like this it makes sense to use any available space to help out if we can - so we separated the van load bay into two halves and carefully loaded each school's plants and display pieces."
"Both schools were extremely grateful for our assistance as we sent a two-man team to help with loading and unloading, so much so in fact that St. Catherine's have provisionally booked us just in case they attend next year's show," said Lee.
Since rebranding the company in early 2014, Avango has seen steady growth and a growing client list that included making deliveries to well-known companies such as Nestle, JCB and even a company that was working on a selection of Land Rovers for the new James Bond 007 movie, 'Spectre', although Avango's director Stuart stated "It's unlikely we'll get mentioned in the films credits, but at least we'll know we helped in some capacity."
