A new be2.co.uk Survey: 50% of Those Registered on Dating Sites are Ashamed!
MUNICH, June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Although the phenomenon of online dating is increasingly popular (35%* of men and women have already used online dating sites to find partners) a survey conducted by be2.co.uk reveals that over 50% of people on dating sites have a problem with telling people they are looking for love on the Internet. 32% have only told relatives and only 18% are happy to tell everyone.
Dating Problem: Should I tell my friends I am registered with be2
A be2 customer wrote, "I haven't told anyone I am registered on be2 because I do not want to be mocked. I have many friends and I go out every week but still I never seem to meet the woman for me. I am really enjoying meeting new women on the site, but when I tell my friends about it I pretend I met them in a bar. Already they mock me for my lack of success with women, if I told them I was dating online I think I would never hear the end of it…"
Are dating sites made for singles who have problems?
"Absolutely not! On be2, 50% of the registered members have been single for less than 2 years. be2 members are mostly working professionals with busy social lives who want to meet new people and increase their chances of finding a soul mate. People hear about how effective be2 is at matching people successfully and realise that the site can help them avoid mistakes and select the right partner for long term compatibility. The be2 personality test really does helps singles define what they want and then introduces them to suitable people. It's very straightforward, it's quick and it works," says Robert Wuttke, founder of the matchmaking dating site be2.
