HONG KONG, July 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 10, the Sichuan Tourist and Investment Promotion was held in Hong Kong with the presence of over 200 people in the tourism sector, business circles, entertainment industry and media in Hong Kong. This is the largest event of the highest standard nationwide among tourism promotions being held in Hong Kong in recent years, attracting great interest in Hong Kong's tourism sector.
The Tourism Administration of Sichuan Province launched four incentive policies, namely, advertising of Sichuan tourist products in Hong Kong, charter flight tours to Sichuan, study trip to Sichuan and Sichuan tourism campaigns in Hong Kong. Furthermore, it concluded an agreement with the Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong regarding safety, complaint handling and emergency communication mechanism for tourist visits of both regions, and also signed an agreement regarding 300 charter flight tours to Sichuan with major travel agencies in Hong Kong. In addition, Sichuan-Hong Kong tourism cooperation agreements on the development of the entertainment industry and self-driving tours were signed, showing Sichuan's recently-launched inbound travel incentive policies are well received in Hong Kong's tourism sector.
To facilitate tourists from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to know more about Sichuan, the traditional Chinese version of the Sichuan official tourism website (www.tsichuan.com) was launched. Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Marketing Center and Tourist Product Store of Sichuan Tourism, jointly launched by the Tourism Administration of Sichuan Province and related scenic areas, was unveiled by Causeway Bay Sunflower Travel.
