Toucan Ventures Ltd. (Toucan), the mentoring and support platform for start-ups and entrepreneurs, is delighted to announce that it has successfully raised £700k through a private fundraise. This ensures Toucan is able to grow the existing team and consolidate its position as the first one-stop shop for early-stage creative entrepreneurs.
Since Toucan was established at the end of 2014, it has assembled an unrivalled team of mentors who are looking to pass on their formidable business acumen and industry experience to the next generation of entrepreneurs and give back to the entrepreneurial community. Toucan's existing mentors come from a wide range of creative sectors and include; Josh Berger (Warner Brothers), Richard Reed (Co-Founder of Innocent Drinks) and Nina Campbell (Founder and CEO of Nina Campbell Interior Design).
Toucan recently held its inaugural conference ('The Nest 2016' in central London) which was well attended by aspiring entrepreneurs who were able to gain inspiration and take away valuable advice from the expert speakers and panellists; including, Zubin Chagpar (Amazon Web Services), Alexander Woollcombe (Gates Foundation) and Brian McBride (ASOS).
In partnership with Time Inc. UK, Toucan has launched 'The Ignite Awards' to discover new entrepreneurial talent. The Awards are supported by the Royal College of Art and Mumsnet and is open to individuals from all fields of business, who have the drive, passion and enthusiasm to transform an idea or young company into a flourishing business.
