22 (Twenty Two) is a Lifestyle and selfhelp book covering Islamic shia lifestyle in 88 short stories published by Ahlulbayt ltd Book Publishing team . The book Explores the life of Dr. Mostafa Chamran from the beginning to end as a brilliant example of Islamic lifestyle.

Mostafa Chamran
Martyr Dr. Mostafa Chamran was born in 1932 in Southern Tehran. Graduating from high school, he entered Technical College of University of Tehran. Thanks to his enthusiasm to religious affairs, he attended Ayatollah Taleqani's Tafsir (interpretation, Quranic commentary) and Martyr Motahhari's Mantiq (logic) and Philosophy classes since he was only 15. During his time in University of Tehran he was an active member of Islamic Student Association of the University and strenuously took part in struggles for nationalization of Iranian Oil Industry. In 1953, he was awarded a scholarship as an outstanding student to continue his study in University of California, where he founded an Islamic Student Association. The regime cut his scholarship upon being informed of his Islamic activities abroad, but he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Plasma Physics with the highest honor.

He was then hired as a senior research staff scientist at Bell Laboratories and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He was fluent in Persian, English, Arabic, French, and German.

Chamran was a member of the Freedom Movement in the 1960s.In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Chamran became politically active. He became a leading and founding member of the Islamic revolutionary movement in the Middle East, organizing and training guerrillas and revolutionary forces in Algeria, Egypt, Syria, especially Amal Movement in southern Lebanon. Subsequent to uprising of June 5, he resolved to launch armed struggle with the regime; so he departed for Egypt to receive 2 years of guerilla warfare training. He found disagreement with Gamal Abdel Nasser and his Arab nationalism and so left for Lebanon after his death. In Lebanon he began guerilla training to Iranian combatants and established, in coordination with Imam Musa Sadr, Harkat Al-Mahroumin (the movement of the deprived) and its military branch, Amal. With Islamic Revolution's being culminated, he returned to Iran, recommended by Imam Khomeini, and initially undertook training the first group of Guardian Corps and at the same time was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister. He exhibited great courage during Kurdistan sedition that persuaded Imam Khomeini to appoint him as the Minister of Defense and then Imam's representative to High Council of Defense. He was elected into the 1st term of National Consultative Assembly as a representative from Tehran, but with the wage of Iraqi Imposed War on Iran he departed for the war fronts and founded Irregular Warfare Headquarters. He was wounded in Sosangerd but did not heed it and returned to war fronts and created many epics. He eventually was martyred on June 21, 1981, in Dehlavieh.

He was later given a hero status and many buildings and streets in Iran and Lebanon, as well as major expressway, were named after him.

There are those who live this way, and even more so. It was some years that people with this lifestyle appeared increasingly, a little farther, in Iran. But as if the great evils did not find any way to eliminate this kind of life except by attacking Iran militarily through their then puppet, Iraq, but they could not foresee the consequences. Maybe you do not believe it, but it was the very war that exhibited the same lifestyle which they did not want that it exists.
