Isolux Corsán Awarded new Contract in Oman, Reinforcing Presence in the Middle East
MADRID, May 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
- TECNA, an Insolux Corsán subsidiary, has been awarded a conceptual engineering project in an international auction by the OMAN GAS COMPANY
- This highly technology project will assess the potential for recovery of Liquid Petroleum Gas in gas transmission
- This could be very important for OGC, allowing the gas company to maximize energy resources and define more competitive business models
TECNA, an international engineering company operating in the oil and gas industry of the Isolux Corsán Group, has been awarded a new project by the OMAN GAS COMPANY (OGC) in international bidding to develop the conceptual engineering for the extraction of Liquified Petroleum Gas "LPG" in Salalah pipeline network in Southern Oman.
This is a high-tech engineering study (only top level companies are qualified to do such work) that over 10 months will assess the potential recovery of Liquefied Petroleum Gases at various points of the gas pipeline facilities in the Salalah region of Oman, the first area selected for analysis.
The project includes, among other works, the economic studies and development of business models, market research for the marketing of LPG and condensate, identifying and selecting the most suitable process alternatives for maximizing recovery, localization studies of the facilities and the estimates for the investment required in each case, with the aim of allowing OGC to define the next phases of the project.
For OMAN GAS COMPANY this is a strategic project because it will generate very important added value on their current gas transmission business, adding the possibility of developing new industries thanks to the availability of the additional energy and raw materials.
