HEMA has appointed Ivo Vliegen (51) as CFO effective 1 November. Vliegen is also joining the HEMA Management Board.
Vliegen is Belgian and has extensive international financial and management experience, including over 10 years in retail. In his most recent position, he was CFO and Group Senior Vice President at Fast Retailing in France, which owns clothing brand Uniqlo, among other brands. Prior to that he held several financial functions in accounting, tax and treasury with prestigious companies in various countries, including MEXX Group in the Netherlands, Levi Strauss & Co in Belgium, Whirlpool in Italy and Belgium and Philips in Belgium. Vliegen is succeeding Tim Isaacs who held the position at HEMA on an interim basis.
