Dr. Bruce Rubinger, Global Prior Art's founder and Managing Director comments: "Global Prior Art has a long track record of providing critical support to clients on IP matters such as licensing due diligence, freedom-to-operate opinions and product development strategy. We have become the preferred vendor for many IP-savvy companies. Global Prior Art's efforts are distinguished by comprehensive worldwide search and analysis capabilities that allow us to access information in foreign languages, institutional knowledge that identifies the most critical sources, and an extensive in-house selection of critical prior art sources collected over 30+ years that are often missed in database searches. There is widespread recognition that this yields superior findings and outcomes for clients. The opening of our London office will allow us to work more closely with our European clients."
The London office will be headed by Dr. Mike Shin, a well-known authority in medical device technology. Dr. Shin previously worked at Global Prior Art's Boston office for over 5 years handling many freedom-to-practice, due diligence, and IP strategy related matters for medical device clients. Dr. Shin also worked as a research director at a medical device start-up. Dr. Shin received his PhD at MIT, where his work focused on electrospinning of polymer nanofibers. Dr. Shin is fluent in English and German, and conversant in French. Dr. Shin and other Global Prior Art team members will be present at the London IP Summit, October 13-14, 2014.
