Altran Enterprise Foundation for Innovation: Launch of its International "Innovation 2012" Competition
PARIS, May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
In 2012, the Altran Enterprise Foundation for Innovation has launched a new prize in eight countries. Candidates may enter between June and September 2012 (deadlines may vary slightly in the individual countries participating) and the national finals will take place the end of November 2012 in the eight countries involved: France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Portugal and Switzerland. National prize winners will then qualify for the grand international final organised for January 2013.
The Altran Enterprise Foundation for Innovation has a human and technological long-standing commitment towards promoting innovation for public interest. Established in 1996, the Foundation has organised 12 annual international competitions. It relies upon the expertise of its Group to benefit everyone by fostering the emergence and development of innovative projects. It rewards bearers of scientific or technological innovation in subjects which have public interest.
With its scope of sponsoring skills, in 2006 the Altran Foundation received an Oscar for Corporate Sponsorship from Admical, a charitable association whose remit is to foster corporate sponsorship. Therefore, the continuity of the Foundation's commitment, the originality of its approach, the involvement of its employees and the resources applied, were all rewarded. The Altran Foundation enables prize winners to take advantage of the Group's internal skills, providing, over a given period, the support of a team of Altran consultants, in fields such as: developing technologies, design, industrialisation, intellectual property, project management, cost optimising, seeking partnerships, marketing, and communications. These targeted skills can grow according to needs and can be adapted to the supported project. An expert will be available to nurture the innovation and benefit technological progress.
Philippe Salle, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Altran Group stressed "Our commitment over the last 30 years has been to break through our clients' project complexities and bring them to life. The challenge Altran has set itself is to promote, through the talent of its consultants, technology and innovation to benefit public interest. Mobilising and uniting the Group around innovative and creative projects offers our consultants the opportunity to develop breakthrough innovations and to be responsible players in all countries."
"By decentralising the competition across eight countries, we foster the internationalisation of our remit and we can reward and further help local innovative projects that work towards the common good. Furthermore, in each country, Altran Group companies are highly motivated in taking part in this enterprise and it was vital to us to put much care into giving back to society what it has given us," explained Christian Le Liepvre, the Foundation Director.
