The new ViewSonic Internet appliance offer, integrated with AT&T WorldNet Service, is initially targeted to large corporate accounts. The web appliances are designed and developed by ViewSonic for the purpose of delivering on the yet unfulfilled promise of the Internet -- to forge a closer business relationship with customers, as well as a tighter brand and product marketing bond between corporations and their customers. According to International Data Corporation, Internet appliances will exceed PC shipments by 2004. By 2002, IDC anticipates that Internet appliance shipments will leap to almost 42 million units.
