<div> <P>The Argyll &amp; Antrim Steam Packet Company has announced more details of the new ferry service from Campbeltown, Argyll, and Ballycastle, Co Antrim. The new service will create about 80 new jobs and promises to bring sufficient new investment to both communities.</P> <P>Starting next July, the seasonal service will offer two round-trips each day, with a crossing time of just under three hours. The service will be operated by the mv Claymore, which has capacity for 300 passengers and 50 cars or 30 cars and two coaches. The ship can also accommodate freight traffic.</P> <P>The Argyll &amp; Antrim Steam Packet Company is a subsidiary of Sea Containers Ltd, which has worked closely with the Argyll and the Islands Enterprise and Moyle District Council to develop the new route.</P> <P>Hamish Ross, managing director, who also manages Sea Containers' other interests in the Irish Sea - SeaCat Scotland, the fast ferry service between Stranraer and Belfast, The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and the Port of Heysham - said: "The new Campbeltown-Ballycastle service will become an important link between Ireland and Argyll and the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
