Hold onto your broadsword, Terris is getting off the Internet and going online with AOL in the summer, allowing simultaneous play of this mind-blowing online fantasy. Initially up to 40 players will be able to explore strange and mysterious lands, slay foul beasts, discover ancient secrets, and watch as the land evolves around them.

AOL has announced an exclusive licensing agreement with DragonMedia to host their multiplayer fantasy/role playing game, Terris which was created by Paul Barnett and Doug Goldner as a cooperative-based game.

Terris requires players to band together to face the challenges of the land, its history and culture in one non-stop adventure. As the game successfully continues, online personas become more powerful, opening up newer and more challenging areas to explore.

Terris is designed for hundreds of hours of online fun and is constantly enhanced to add ever changing challenges so that players always have something new and exciting to do.

In addition to its gaming elements, Terris is also great for online chatting. Players in the same room can talk to each other in a way similar to AOL chat rooms. There is also extensive support for hundreds of emotion commands such as smile, frown, chuckle and laugh - all used to convey emotions while chatting. This adds a unique atmosphere to online chats in Terris - which can be the sole purpose of coming into the area.

Switching on to AOL

AOL is available to virtually anyone who has a personal computer at home and it can be tried out without obligation on one month's free trial. This includes ten hours online time free of charge.
