TEMPUS TO BUILD ON ITS NEW YORK BASED CIA-VSM SUCCESS, TARGETTING MORE ACQUISITIONS IN THE UNITED STATES
Tempus Group PLC, the world's second largest independent media communications specialist, has announced record results for the year ended 31 December 1998.
Last year Tempus Group moved its CIA Medianetwork brand into the US market through the acquistion of New York based VSM Media (now renamed CIA-VSM).
CIA-VSM gives the Group a quality bridgehead from which to build a comprehensive network in the key US market. Tempus Group Chairman, Chris Ingram, has been based in the US for the past six months, targeting further corporate opportunities in North America.
The Group has also established a new division, Outrider, which aquires and invests in "new media" businesses. Since its commencement in June, Outrider has bought into three US based internet services companies - MMG Online, Kokopelli and Brainbug - and these companies are already working closely with network clients.
