After seventeen years, carbonated drinks makers SodaStream have decided it's time to say goodbye to 'Get Busy With the Fizzy', the epitome of the SodaStream name.
'Get Busy With The Fizzy' first appeared in 1979 as part of the jingle for a television commercial. The line became so memorable that SodaStream decided to add it to their corporate logo and it became the company's strapline appearing on all SodaStream material.
The company now feels that it is time to move on and is about to unveil a new look. However, the company is now 'strapline-less' and would welcome any suggestions. SodaStream's Crispian Harrod explained: " 'Get Busy With The Fizzy' is up there other memorable slogans of our times such as 'Shake 'n' Vac and Put the Freshness Back'. The soft drinks market is changing and has become much more grown up so it is time to move on.
"We want our new strapline to help communicate the choice of drinks which the SodaStream range offers, how the drinks are fresh every time you make them and the value for money aspect. Not an easy task to do in five words so any suggestions would be warmly received."
The first new look SodaStream products will be available from June 1996.
