ROBERT WALMSLEY APPOINTED CHIEF OF DEFENCE PROCUREMENT
The Prime Minister, with the agreement of the Secretary of State for Defence, has approved the appointment of Sir Robert Walmsley, at present a Deputy Chief of Defence Procurement and Controller of the Navy in the Ministry of Defence, as Chief of Defence Procurement, Ministry of Defence, in succession to Sir Malcolm Mclntosh who has returned to the Australian public service.
Sir Robert has been appointed following an open competition and will take up post on May 1, 1996.
