Peruvian Private Investment Promotion Agency Concludes Successful Australia - New Zealand RoadShow

The Agency responsible for the promotion of private investment into Peru, ProInversión, last week carried out a three day RoadShow in the three principal cities of Australia and New Zealand: Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. The objective of the event was to promote opportunities for Australian investors and pension or capital funds in a number of infrastructure projects related to a variety of economic sectors.
The RoadShow was launched at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney, and continued in Melbourne, on March 5th at the Intercontinental Hotel, and in Auckland on Friday March 7th and the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Centre.
Around 50 handpicked guests representing the business community, media, and public sector, were present at each event to witness the historic RoadShow, under the headline "Peru: Endless Investment Opportunities". The seminar consisted of presentations by a number of international businesses with interests in Peru, and representatives of the Peruvian delegation, including Javier Illescas, Executive Director of ProInversión, and Manuel Suárez, ProInversión Energy Projects Manager.
Among the guests at the Australian Seminars were representatives from Karoon Gas, Origin, Pacific Hydro, AMOG, MMG, E.I.M. Capitals, among others. There were also one-to-one meetings with many investors and funds, most notably BCP Equities, Shape Wealth, Frontier Advisors and Future Fund.
In New Zealand, the Seminar and meeting counted with the presence of Aeroequal, HMI Technologies, New Zealand Natural, Bidvest and Glidepath, and agricultural group Turners & Growers.
The RoadShow benefitted from the personal presence and support of the Ambassador of Peru in Australia and New Zealand, Luis Quesada, and the collaboration of the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade); the Australia Latin America Business Council; and the Latin America New Zealand Business Council.
Further RoadShows planned by ProInversion include China-Korea-Japan (April); Canada-USA (May); UK-Spain-Germany (June); India-Qatar-UAE (July).
