Mario Garnero, Founder and Chairman of Brasilinvest Group, to Co-Chair 2014 International Financial Forum in London
- Garnero to present opening remarks, and participate in a roundtable discussion on emerging markets
SAO PAULO, Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mario Garnero, founder and chairman of Brasilinvest Group, will co-chair the 2014 International Financial Forum, a private thought leadership event for the world's most active M&A, restructuring and financing dealmakers. The Forum will be held on October 22 in London.
At the event, Garnero will deliver opening remarks and participate in the roundtable "Crossing the Emerging Market Border," during which he will discuss the evolution of emerging countries like Brazil, and describe their investment opportunities and market advantages. "There are certain sectors which are particularly attractive within the emerging markets environment," said Garnero. "Projects on infrastructure are great opportunities for the private and the public sector to partner, building roads, railroads, hydroelectric plants, and ports."
The International Financial Forum brings together business leaders, investors, political influencers, and academics from several countries to discuss the global mergers and acquisitions landscape, including restructuring and financing, and its impact on international financial markets. The Forum will present key considerations on industry issues, highlighting topics including distressed investing in the UK and Europe, cross border M&A, and the geopolitics of deal making.
This year's Forum will feature Patrick Zhong (Fosun Group); Carlos Moreira (WISeKey); Roberto Jaguaribe (Ambassador of Brazil to the UK); Amir Adnani (Uranium Energy); Sir Paul Judge (City of London); and Sir Martin Sorrel (WPP). The event is presented by The M&A Advisor in partnership with Bloomberg and Foreign Affairs magazine.
Mario Garnero is one of Brazil's most successful entrepreneurs. He is the Founder and Chairman of Brasilinvest Group and of the NASDAQ-listed Garnero Group Acquisition Company (GGAC). He also serves as President of Fórum das Américas, a think tank that aims at expanding Brazil's international presence by strengthening the perception of the Brazilian productive sector.
