This afternoon Burger King revealed that its Left-Handed Whopper is an April Fool's joke. Feedback from restaurants indicates that across the UK, hundreds of customers visited their local Burger King restaurant and asked for the Left-Handed Whopper, while many others requested their own 'right-handed' version!
"Everyone knows that it takes two hands to hold a Whopper, not one," said Lorraine Thomson, Marketing Director of Burger King UK. "This joke was simply meant to bring a smile to people's faces - after all, we're in the business of serving great tasting food and it should be fun."
Lauren Milsom from The Left Handed Club said: "We thought it was a fun way to remind the British public that left handed people may often have difficulties doing some things that right handed people take for granted."
