ERSA Furniture Deputy General Manager Yalçın Ata stated the worldwide importance of the event and said, "We are proud to be representing Turkey for the seventh time at ORGATEC, where the core of the industry gathers. We will firstly present our new collection for 2015. The Wall Cabinet series, Boxer Group designed by Erdem Akan and Boğaç Şimşir, and Ersa Green Line, the result of our cooperation with German PE International company on sustainability, will be presented at ORGATEC for the first time. Additionally, designs by Claudio Belini, namely So Simple Office, and by Ece, Oğuz Yalım, namely the Frame and Twins, will be on display at the fair."
ERSA's documentary series "Unrepeatable", which offers an insight into disappeared or disappearing crafts and craftsmen, will be shown at the fair.
The documentaries, which were produced within the scope of the IKSV Design Biennial and as part of the ERSA Furniture Cultural and Social Responsibility Project, "Box in a Box Idea," will be shown for the first time at ORGATEC. Mr. Ata highlighted some of the ideas behind "Unrepeatable": "We don't only focus on furniture production at ERSA, we consider the culture and art as well. We interpreted the theme of the IKSV Design Biennial (1 November-14 December, 2014), "The future is not like the past, anymore," to produce the documentary series "Unrepeatable" on disappeared or disappearing arts in Anatolia. We place huge importance on learning from the past rather than leaving it behind and aim to bring back the "Unrepeatable", today and in the future, with the help of these documentaries."
ERSA was founded in 1958 and now, nearly six decades later, occupies a site of approximately 35.000 m[2] closed (60.000 m[2] in total) in Ankara, with 285 employees across 3 factories. It is the third greatest manufacturer in its sector, with flexible production infrastructure. State-of-the-art technologies have enabled ERSA to export its products to the USA, Europe, Russia, CIS, North Africa, Central Africa and the Middle East.
