Born in Galway, Ireland and now living in London, Slim began designing jewellery that instantly attracted the attention of the fashion world. He has been commissioned to design accessories for the catwalk collections of Chanel, Ungaro, Versace, Montana, Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano. Slim has been cited as the designer responsible for bringing crowns and tiaras back into modern use. Slim's necklace is sponsored by Clark Diamonds of Birmingham, UK. </P> <P> The 29 winning designs were selected by an independent panel of judges, all leading figures in the world of design and fashion, including Joan Juliet Buck, Editor-in-Chief Vogue France; Sergio Salerni, Fashion Show Designer/Director Italy; Andre Leon Talley, Editor-at-Large Vogue USA and Albert Watson, Photographer USA.
