CAP GEMINI CHANGES NAME AND MOVES TO SCOTLAND
Leading local IT services company Hoskyns is to formally change its name to Cap Gemini as the Cap Gemini Group looks to consolidate and extend its position in the global information services industry. Cap Gemini is the largest European computer services company, with 1995 revenues of $4.2 billion. The company is also moving into new premises in Glasgow - reflecting rapid growth and job creation in Scotland.
"Cap Gemini is a real Scottish success story - we've created more than 50 jobs in Scotland in the last year - and we hope that with our ongoing investment in new people and new facilities, and our new group identity, this growth will continue." said John Kyle, director of Cap Gemini in Scotland.
Cap Gemini is adopting one name and one logo worldwide. The holding company is now known as the Cap Gemini Group. The operational companies throughout the world will be referred to as Cap Gemini, while management consultants Gemini Consulting will retain their name. All companies will use one single group logo.
"For our customers it is very much a case of business as normal,"noted John Kyle. "The change symbolises our determination to make it even easier to do business with us and to make the world-wide expertise of Cap Gemini easily available to companies and organisations in Scotland."
Kyle continued: "The Cap Gemini name represents the combination of systems technology and management consulting services within the group. It formalises the global reach of our organisation, bringing together the diverse components of our service offering in a way that opens up new possibilities for our people to learn and grow and that makes it easier for clients to access our talents."
The new address in Glasgow is: Cap Gemini Group, Regent Court, 70 West Regent Street, Glasgow G2 2QZ, Tel: 0141 331 0414
