"Many business customers do not want to recompile the kernel but want the power of Linux, they're looking for a solution -- not just an OS. Our focus with 1.3 is to provide the first time Linux user or business customer with the opportunity to evaluate Linux without having to know the technology inside and out. However, we do provide the Linux source code for those wishing to customise and recompile the kernel. In short, we've simplified the install, provided KDE as a GUI and added personal productivity and business applications like Sybase ASE so the customer can make Linux work for them."
