Award-winning Geologist to Announce Hi-Tech Inventions for Smooth Transition to Greener World and Sustainable Economy
LONDON, October 14 /PRNewswire/ --
- Eminent Scientist Declares Innovative Technologies Can Halve Crude Oil Price Whilst Protecting Global Environment
Kenneth Hsu Consulting (KHC) is pleased to announce a Press & Investor Conference at The Geological Society of London on 30th October 2008 at 10am (doors open 9.45am) to present the company's technological inventions, to alleviate the global water, energy, environmental, climate and economic crises.
Wasteful exploitation of Earth's resources and continuing ecological devastation, has brought the global environment and world economy to a crunch point. A sustainable planet requires environmentally-friendly technologies, in particular for renewable energy production. However, fossil fuels are needed for a smooth transition to a greener world, especially for use in petroleum products, now indispensable to global markets. When the price of fossil fuels is reduced, the multi-trillion dollar cost of renewable energy technologies and environmental engineering projects, should decrease, to allow global civilization to move away from fossil fuel dependency, thereby slashing carbon emissions, if governments stringently regulate energy producers.
Kenneth J. Hsu, Director of KHC, is a former Petroleum Geologist & Environmental Engineer at the Shell Development Corporation (Houston), and Professor Emeritus at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Zürich), 1967-1994. He has lectured in Geology, Climatology and Oceanography at world-renowned universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Princeton and M.I.T., and was made Honorary Professor of University College London in April 2008. He was awarded the Wollaston Medal from The Geological Society of London in 1984, formerly presented to Charles Darwin; became a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences in 1986; and received the Penrose Medal from The Geological Society of America in 2001.
Professor Hsu acknowledges the need for economic stability, energy security, environmental protection and climatic equilibrium in the 21st century, through the use of smart technologies, such as those developed by him during 50 years of professional experience as a Scientist and Engineer.
After founding Fengshui Water Technology, Tarim Resources Recycling, Lazarus Oil International and Kenneth Hsu Consulting in the 1990s, Hsu was awarded 16 patents to revolutionize the mining, petroleum, water and energy management of the world, most importantly, the Hydrotransistor and Integrated Hydrologic Circuit (IHC).
Hsu's key inventions currently being applied in China, to resolve the global crisis are for: 3-D Enhanced Oil Recovery of the world's residual oil reserves; Lithium Production from brine lakes to empower hybrid vehicles; Water Availability by waste water recycling and rainwater harvesting to eliminate shortages; Nitrite-Free Drinking Water scientifically demonstrated to reduce the cancer mortality rate by half; Nitrite-Free Sewage-Treatment Works to denitritize the drinking water supply; Lake Rehabilitation by eliminating algal pollution through sequestering of carbon dioxide; Biofuel Generation by utilizing carbon dioxide emissions to mitigate the burning of fossil fuels; Capillary Irrigation to conserve water whilst reclaiming land without utilizing surface irrigation; Land Reclamation and Desert Greening by sequestering atmospheric carbon dioxide; and Hydro- Electricity without building hydro-electric dams.
After extensive research and development, the technologies have been approved by the State Counsellors' Office (Civilian Chief of Staff) of the Chinese Prime Minister; and by Nobel Laureate Samuel Ting, and University of California Chancellor, Henry Yang, who both serve on Wen Jiabao's KHC Advisory Board.
Hsu has been active with institutions, organizations and corporations to apply the new technologies in China, and now, internationally, seeks partnership with companies (especially engineering firms) wanting to successfully bid for large projects, and investors interested in KHC stock-participation.
Currently President of Kenneth Hsu IHC Technology & Development Limited (Beijing), Chief Engineer at the Kenneth Hsu Institute for IHC Development (National Institute Of Earth Sciences, Beijing) and Director of the Center for Environmental & Health Engineering (Henan University, Kaifeng), he has advised the governments of Argentina, Brazil, China, Malta and Taiwan. He is also author of 20 books including The Mediterranean Was A Desert, Challenger At Sea, The Great Dying, and Climate & Peoples.
