How does it compare to other contact management products?
MEDIAtlas is 20% faster for most tasks and we believe that the quality of our data is unrivalled. Because it is an online product we can constantly develop it with little disruption to the user community, unlike similar products installed from a disk. We've also spent a bit more time developing management tools that take the chore out of a lot of the tasks you do.
How does MEDIAtlas data differ from its competitors?
As PR Newswire is a global leader in PR support and distribution services, we have the advantage of having teams of local researchers working in many languages throughout our international bureaus. In addition, with MEDIAtlas you have the facility to inform us of changes to the data that you know about, immediately and online. With a large user community working with us to inform us of amendments, MEDIAtlas is an extremely accurate and comprehensive database.
What's the minimum contract?
The minimum term for a contract is 12 months.
Is there a limit to the number of users?
There is no limit on the number of people who can potentially access the system, the only limit is on how many can access the system simultaneously and this is determined by how many licences you purchase. For example, a company can have fifteen users but only five licences, so only five people can use the system at once.
I have limited requirements - can I just buy the parts I need?
Yes - we've tailored the packages to meet different needs and we're happy to discuss more specialised requirements.
Can I customise the MEDIAtlas?
Yes - the system allows a large amount of customisation. You can make amendments to the information provided by MEDIAtlas or add your own private data. You can also add new media intelligence and request that our research team check it out for you.
Can I bring contacts across from the system I already have?
Yes, we provide a data transference service.
Can I use it for distribution?
There are a number of options for distribution - from printing addressed labels and creating e-mail lists to tapping into PR Newswire's global distribution network. Call us for more details.
What's new about Version 3.0?
Version 3.0 has 33% more content than previous versions. As well as more media points and individual contacts it also contains advertising rate data, journalist profiles, editorial features and financial analyst data. It is now faster and more secure than ever before.
Does it work on any system?
You can use MEDIAtlas from any PC that has Internet Explorer 6.0 or any PC/Mac that has Mozilla 1.7. This means that you can still access your contacts and distribute press releases when you're out of the office, at exhibitions, working from home, at a client site or even on the move.
